Sea Buckthorn For Beauty and Wellness

Sea Buckthorn For Beauty and Wellness
Ethnic beauties, I've lived a few years and studied a lot of information on nutrition, superfoods and eating to live, but it wasn't until recently that I learned a thing or two about Sea Buckthorn. My first encounter was when a colleague told me about sea buckthorn for hair and scalp health, making it an ingredient to learn more about.

You know how we get when we mature, for some reason the hair begins to think it wants to take leave of its place on our head. She’d whipped up some concoction and was using sea buckthorn to stimulate blood flow in her scalp and hopefully would benefit from the combination with rosemary essential oil and bear witness to new hair on her head.

Well it worked!! She got more than a few strands, she had beautiful dreadlocks growing down her back. This took her about a year, So we summed that it was just a typical hair growth cycle. But it wasn't. Her hair was absolutely gorgeous.

As it turns out, the vitamin E in sea buckthorn oil helps with scalp circulation and is known to support hair growth and conditioning.

Where Does Sea Buckthorn Oil Come From?

Sea buckthorn is native to Europe and Asia, making it quite a resilient plant. It can grow almost anywhere. However, the place where it grows, heavily influences the chemical composition of the plant. AND for every female plant you will need five male plants close by, since it propagates solely via wind pollination.

It's a fruit that varies in colors from bright yellow, to orange and even bright red. The fruit is one of the highest in vitamin C content per 100 grams.

Sea Buckthorn for Wellness

The fruit, whether it's dried or fresh, are used as prevention against flu and viral infections. You can supplement your healing procedure with sea buckthorn tinctures, syrup or pickles combined with other healing herbs.

Sea buckthorn fruits are also effective against headaches and urinary bladder inflammations. They have also been proven to improve conditions of people under a lot of stress. Some of us probably need truck loads.

For some of you ...

Sea buckthorn can be plucked from your garden at any time. For others, it's not a fruit you'll find everyday. When and wherever you can find it, make use of its fruit and the many benefits it offers. Improve your health, strengthen your immune system and enjoy its great taste in syrups, tinctures and teas.

That's it for this week. As always ...
